The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting darker. It’s no surprise then, that so many cultures around the world have early winter celebrations honoring, celebrating, or characterized by light. Rooted our own multicultural background, traditions from around the world, and a few twists of our own, we will bring light and warmth on this winter evening with a cozy and festive dinner inspired by Hanukkah, Diwali, St. Lucia’s Day, Christmas and more. Enjoy cocktail pairings at the bar and chat with our culinary team, as they prepare a meal as bright as the many candles lighting our space.

About
Chef’s Tables are fixed-price themed dinners with a demonstration component, not hands-on classes. If you’d like to take one of our hands-on classes, the full lineup can be found here.

Signing Up
The sign-up link above will direct you to the sign up page for this dinner, which will allow you to sign up through our booking system. If you have a gift certificate, there will be a place to enter your certificate information on that page. Your registration is official once you have received a confirmation email from our system (be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it). If you have purchased a ticket for a Chef’s Table Dinner and have not received a confirmation email, please email info@figcookingschool.com so we can help you out. Please also feel free to email us if you have any questions about the booking process.

Location & Parking
All of our classes are taught at our kitchen at 42 Naugatuck Ave, Milford. You can park across the street or on any of the surrounding streets. Please do not park in the 15 minute zone directly in front of our building.

Cancellation
Fig classes, chef’s table dinners, and gift certificates are non-refundable. Please think of this as buying a ticket for a show; we turn away many customers from sold out events. Tickets are transferable, so you are welcome to send a friend in your place.

Gifts
A Fig experience is a perfect gift for a friend, loved one, or business associate. However we strongly recommend buying gift certificates rather than signing up somebody for a class or dinner as a surprise, since this often results in schedule conflicts. Per our cancellation policy above, classes and dinners are non-refundable for any reason, and giving a gift certificate allows the recipient to choose a date that works for them, and avoid disappointment.

Dietary Restrictions
Please let us know before you sign up if you have any dietary restrictions. Since our menu is fixed, we cannot make any substitutions. We do offer a vegetarian version of each chef’s table menu, which you can select at signup. If you did not select the vegetarian option at signup, and wish to change, you MUST notify us no less than 48 hours in advance. No substitutions can be made on the day. We cannot offer reimbursement for undisclosed dietary restrictions. Please note that our kitchen is full of dairy, gluten, and nuts, and that we cannot accept responsibility for these or any other food allergies. Our kitchen is not Kosher.

Drinks
Your ticket includes one signature cocktail or alcohol-free mocktail, listed on the menu above, upon arrival. You may enter your choice of cocktail or mockail at signup. No substitutions can be made for this drink. Guests under 21 must have the mocktail. We have a curated wine, beer, and cocktail menu tailored to the evening's offerings should you wish to order additional beverages. There is no BYOB.

Arrival & Departure
The evening will begin at 7:00 and our doors open at 6:45. If you’re running late for any reason, please give us a call to let us know you are on your way. The demonstration and dinner usually wrap up between 8:30 and 9, but you are welcome to stay with us until our doors close at 11. We offer our full cocktail menu, after dinner drinks, small plates and snacks à la carte until close.
