It doesn’t get much better than this class. One of our first ever offerings, and by far our most popular class, our French Bistro Dinner is a journey to Paris that, to us, exemplifies what makes a Fig class special. Informative, theatrical, warm and inviting, there is something for everybody here, from seasoned home chefs to absolute beginners. Learn the secret to making a flawless steak with a cognac cream sauce that may make you cry (don’t say we didn’t warn you). Pair that with pitch-perfect slow roasted tomatoes with stilton, crisp haricots verts with caramelized shallots, and an earl grey crème brûlée and you’ll swear you’ve been transported to Europe.

The sign-up link above will direct you to the registration page for this class, which will allow you to sign up through our booking system. If you have a gift certificate, there will be a place to enter your certificate information on that page. Your registration is official once you have received a confirmation email from our system (be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it). If you have signed up for a class and have not received a confirmation email, please email email@example.com so we can help you out. Please also feel free to email us if you have any questions about the booking process.
Location & Parking
All of our classes are taught at our teaching kitchen at 42 Naugatuck Ave, Milford. You can park across the street or on any of the surrounding streets. Please do not park in the 15 minute zone directly in front of our building.
Fig classes and gift certificates are non-refundable. Please think of this as buying a ticket for a show; we turn away many customers from sold out classes. Tickets are transferable, so you are welcome to send a friend in your place. Should you miss your class without transferring your ticket, we will automatically send you the recipe packet within several days.
A Fig experience is a perfect gift for a friend, loved one, or business associate. However we strongly recommend buying gift certificates rather than signing up somebody for a class as a surprise, since this often results in schedule conflicts. Per our cancellation policy above, classes are non-refundable for any reason, and giving a gift certificate allows the recipient to choose a date that works for them, and avoid disappointment.
Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. Many of our classes are vegetarian, or can be made vegetarian with small adjustments if we have advance notice, and we may be able to accommodate other restrictions if given prior notice. Please note that our kitchen is full of dairy, gluten, and nuts, and that we cannot accept responsibility for these or any other food allergies. Our kitchen is not Kosher.
Please feel free to bring your favorite wine or beer to accompany your meal. Please note that we cannot open any alcohol until we have finished cooking and the meal is being served.
All classes come with a full meal, usually served once all food is prepared. We recommend having a hearty snack before you come so you’re not hungry while we cook the meal.
Arrival & Departure
Please make sure you are neither early nor late. Classes start promptly so that we have adequate time to prepare and sample all the dishes, but we cannot invite people in more than ten minutes early, as we are very busy doing important prep work needed so that the class runs smoothly.
Please note that end times are approximate, depending on the complexity of the food we are making (and because we are often having so much fun around the dinner table)! We encourage you to let babysitters know you may be home a little later, but if you are operating under a strict time constriction, please our staff know upon checking in so they can notify the teaching crew.
Please don't hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or challenges with your registration! We look forward to seeing you in class!
